How do I place an order?
Browse our collections at travel-detail.com, add your chosen items to the cart, and proceed to checkout. Enter your delivery address and payment details, then confirm your order. You’ll receive an order confirmation email within a few minutes. If you don’t receive it within 15 minutes, check your spam folder or contact us.
Do I need to create an account to order?
No — you can check out as a guest without creating an account. Creating an account makes it easier to view your order history, track shipments, and speed up future checkouts, but it is entirely optional.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Yes, as long as your order hasn’t been dispatched. Email us at support@travel-detail.com as soon as possible with your order number and the change you need. Once FedEx has collected your parcel, we can no longer modify the shipment — you would need to follow our Returns Policy after delivery.
I haven’t received a confirmation email — what should I do?
First, check your spam or junk folder — confirmation emails occasionally land there. If you can’t find it, your email address may have been entered incorrectly at checkout. Contact us at support@travel-detail.com with your name and the approximate date and time of your order, and we’ll locate it and resend your confirmation.
Which countries do you currently ship to?
We currently ship to Belgium and the Netherlands. Shipping is free for both destinations via FedEx tracked delivery. We are not able to fulfil orders to other countries at this time. If you’re located elsewhere, please sign up for updates on our website.
An item I want is out of stock — will it come back?
We restock popular items regularly. Use the “Notify me” button on any sold-out product page to receive an email the moment it’s available again. You can also contact us at support@travel-detail.com to ask about specific items or expected restock timelines.

How long does delivery take?
We dispatch all orders within 24–48 hours of payment confirmation on business days. After dispatch, FedEx delivers to Belgium and the Netherlands within 24–72 hours. Total expected delivery time is 2–5 business days from the moment you place your order. You’ll receive a FedEx tracking number by email as soon as your parcel is collected.
Is shipping free?
Yes — all orders to Belgium and the Netherlands ship completely free via FedEx tracked delivery. There are no minimum order requirements and no hidden shipping charges at checkout.
Where are orders shipped from?
All Travel Detail products are crafted and dispatched from Turkey. Turkey has one of the world’s finest leather manufacturing traditions, and our products are made there by skilled artisans. Shipments travel from Turkey to Belgium and the Netherlands via FedEx international.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been collected by FedEx, you’ll receive an automated email containing your FedEx tracking number. You can use this to track your parcel in real time at fedex.com. If you haven’t received a tracking number within 3 business days of ordering, please contact us.
What happens if I’m not home when delivery is attempted?
FedEx will leave a delivery notification card and typically attempt delivery again the next business day. You may also be given the option to redirect your parcel to a nearby FedEx pickup point or authorise a safe place for the parcel to be left. Check the FedEx tracking link in your shipping email for available options specific to your address.
Are there any customs charges or import duties?
Orders from Turkey to Belgium and the Netherlands are subject to EU import procedures. We handle VAT through the EU Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme where applicable, meaning VAT is collected at checkout and you should not face unexpected charges at the border. If your shipment is held or assessed for additional charges by customs, please contact us at support@travel-detail.com and we will assist you. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
My order is delayed — what should I do?
First, check your FedEx tracking link for the latest status. International shipments can occasionally be delayed by customs clearance, local public holidays, or high carrier volumes. If your tracking shows no movement for more than 5 business days, or if your expected delivery window has passed, contact us at support@travel-detail.com with your order number and we will investigate with FedEx on your behalf.
Returns & Refunds
Your rights at a glance
30-day returns — going beyond the EU statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
As a consumer in Belgium or the Netherlands, you are protected by the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, which guarantees a minimum 14-day right of withdrawal. We voluntarily extend this to 30 days. All products also carry a mandatory 2-year legal guarantee under EU law.
Change of mind returns
30-day window from delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition with all tags. Return shipping at your cost. Full refund within 14 days of receiving your return.
Faulty or damaged goods
Contact us within 30 days with photos. We cover return shipping. Entitled to repair, replacement, or full refund. 2-year legal guarantee applies from delivery date.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window on all orders, counting from the date of delivery. This extends beyond the EU’s mandatory 14-day statutory right of withdrawal. To be eligible, items must be unused, in their original condition, and returned with all original tags and packaging. Full details are in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
How do I start a return?
Email us at support@travel-detail.com with your order number and reason for return. We will issue you a Return Authorisation (RA) number and the return address in Turkey. Please do not send items back without an RA number — unannounced returns cannot be processed and may be refused at the return address.
Who pays for return shipping?
For change-of-mind returns, the cost of return shipping from Belgium or the Netherlands to Turkey is at your expense. We recommend using a tracked service and keeping proof of postage. For faulty, damaged, or incorrectly dispatched items, we will cover your return shipping costs in full.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we process your refund within 14 days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method (card, iDEAL, Bancontact, etc.). Depending on your bank or payment provider, funds may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear in your account after we process the refund.
What if my item arrived damaged or faulty?
Contact us at support@travel-detail.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the damage or fault. We will review your case promptly and arrange a repair, replacement, or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping. For faults that appear within the 2-year legal guarantee period, please also see the question below.
What is the 2-year legal guarantee?
Under the EU Sale of Goods Directive 2019/771/EU (implemented in Belgian and Dutch law), all products we sell carry a mandatory 2-year legal guarantee from your delivery date. If goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose within this period, you are entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction, or a full refund — depending on the circumstances. This right exists regardless of any commercial warranty and cannot be waived.
Can I exchange a product for a different colour or size?
We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. To get a different colour or item, return the original product under our return policy (within 30 days of delivery) and place a new order for the item you want. We’ll refund your original order as soon as we receive the return. Contact us at support@travel-detail.com if you need help coordinating this.

What type of leather do you use?
All Travel Detail products are made from full-grain leather — the highest quality grade of leather, taken from the outermost layer of the hide with the full natural grain intact. Full-grain leather is the most durable grade, develops a rich natural patina with use, and becomes more beautiful over time. It is significantly more resilient and longer-lasting than corrected-grain or bonded leather alternatives.
Where are Travel Detail products made?
All our products are handcrafted in Turkey by skilled artisans with decades of experience in leather goods. Turkey has one of the world’s finest leather tanning and manufacturing traditions, with a heritage stretching back centuries. Each piece is inspected before dispatch to ensure it meets our quality standards.
Will the colour and texture vary between items?
Yes — and this is a mark of quality, not a defect. Full-grain leather is a natural material, meaning no two hides are identical. Your item may show slight variations in grain pattern, shade, surface texture, or natural markings compared to the product photography. These characteristics are inherent to genuine leather and become part of the unique character of your piece over time.
How should I care for my leather item?
To keep your leather in excellent condition: wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth; condition with a quality leather conditioner every 2–3 months to maintain suppleness; store in a dust bag when not in use and away from direct sunlight; avoid prolonged exposure to rain or moisture and do not leave in direct sunlight for extended periods. If your item gets wet, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature — never use a hair dryer or direct heat source.
Will the leather develop a patina over time?
Yes — this is one of the defining characteristics of full-grain leather. With regular use, your bag or accessory will develop a natural patina: a warm, rich darkening of the leather surface that reflects your own usage and lifestyle. Many of our customers consider this the most desirable quality of genuine leather — their piece becomes uniquely theirs. This is a sign of authentic, high-quality leather, not wear or damage.
Do products come with packaging or a dust bag?
Yes — all Travel Detail products are delivered in premium packaging appropriate for the item. Bags and larger accessories are included with a dust bag for storage. This also makes our products well-suited as gifts.

All transactions on travel-detail.com are SSL-encrypted and processed through Shopify’s PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment infrastructure — the highest standard in the industry. We do not store your card details on our servers at any point.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?
Yes — all prices displayed on travel-detail.com are in Euros (€ EUR) and include applicable VAT for consumers in Belgium and the Netherlands (21%). The price shown at checkout is the total amount you pay. There are no hidden fees or additional taxes applied at checkout.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Our store is powered by Shopify, which is certified to PCI-DSS Level 1 — the highest security standard for e-commerce payment processing. All data transmitted during checkout is protected by SSL/TLS encryption. We do not see, store, or handle your card number, CVV, or banking credentials directly.
Can I pay in a different currency?
All prices are displayed and charged in Euros (€ EUR). If your bank account or card is in a different currency (e.g. GBP or USD), your bank or payment provider will convert the amount at their applicable exchange rate. Any currency conversion fees are charged by your bank, not by us.
My payment was declined — what should I do?
Payment declines are usually handled by your bank or card issuer, not by us. Common causes include: insufficient funds, a security flag on your card, 3D Secure (SCA) authentication failing, or a temporary issue with your bank. Try again with a different payment method, or contact your bank. If the issue persists after trying multiple payment methods, contact us at support@travel-detail.com.
Do you offer instalment payments or buy-now-pay-later?
We do not currently offer instalment payment plans or buy-now-pay-later services. All orders are charged in full at the time of checkout. We are always exploring additional payment options to better serve our customers.
